Simple Spells for a Happy Home

Sea Salt: Although not an herb, but a mineral, Sea Salt can be used in spells to cleanse and protect the home from negative or otherwise unwanted energies. Salt placed in a bowl and left on a table, purifies the atmosphere and neutralites evil. Salt can also be blended with other herbs to act as a „magnifier“ as well as a „binding“ agent for spells and magick.

Sugar, like honey, can be used in spells to „sweeten up“ someone. If a member of your family is troubled or dealing with a frustrating life problem, place a picture of them, or their name written on parchment, underneath a brown candle. Surround the candle with a circle of sugar, allow the candle to burn out completely, you may recite a small prayer or incantation while the candle is burning. It is always recommended to snuff a candle out, if necessary, do not blow a candle out for it is believed to „blow out“ the magick.

Rosemary: Burn a few pinches of Rosemary during the morning time to attract positive energies and blessing into one's home. Rosemary is used to bring about protection and power, it can be added to charms and spells to „magnify“ their energy. Rosemary is also used to call upon the aid of the spirits of one's home, to bring prosperity and blessings of good luck.
